This page explains what Elephant Intelligence collects when you visit elephantintelligence.ai or sign in to an Elephant Intelligence account, including signing in from the ALPHA desktop app, and what we do with it. Questions or requests: hello@elephantintelligence.ai.
Browsing the site
The site has no analytics, advertising, or tracking, and its pages load nothing from other companies’ servers, apart from Google’s sign-in button on the sign-in page. Like any website, our hosting provider (Namecheap) keeps standard server logs of requests, such as IP address, browser type, and the page asked for, to run and protect the service.
Your account
When you sign in, we keep:
- Your email address, and your name if you sign in with Google.
- How you sign in: by email link, or with Google, in which case we store the account identifier Google gives us. We never see your Google password and get no access to your Gmail, Drive, or other Google data; we ask Google only for your name, email address, and that identifier.
- When the account was created and when you last signed in.
- Your signed-in browsers and devices: for each browser, a sign-in record and when it expires; for each computer signed in to ALPHA, the computer’s name and when it was connected and last used. You can see and remove devices on your account page.
We use this only to sign you in, keep your account secure, and contact you about your account or ALPHA.
The ALPHA waitlist
Signing in puts you on the ALPHA waitlist. If you answer the waitlist questions, we keep your answers: whether it’s for work or personal use, your industry and role, whether you’d like to be an early tester, the task you’d hand off and the websites or apps it involves, how much time it takes, how you’d want to hand it off, what would make you hesitant, whether you’re happy to show us the workflow, and anything else you tell us. We use them to choose who gets access first and to decide what to build. Only our team sees them, and you can change them at any time from the waitlist page.
Demo requests
If you request a demo, we keep what you tell us: the workflow you’d like automated and the websites involved, your name, company, role and company website, any contact email, phone number and best times to talk you give us, how much time it takes and how many people do it, when you’d want it running, how it’s done today, a budget range if you give one, and any notes. Our team uses it to prepare and schedule the demo and to follow up with you.
Cookies
We set two cookies, both only needed for signing in, and no others:
- a sign-in cookie, so you stay signed in for 30 days after you last visit; and
- a security cookie that protects sign-in forms from being submitted by other websites; it is removed when you close the browser.
If you sign in by email, we send a one-time sign-in link to the address you enter. We send it from our own server and don’t add you to any mailing list.
Who else handles your data
We don’t sell or rent your information, or share it for advertising. It is handled only by the services that run the site: Namecheap, which hosts the site and our email, and Google, if you choose to sign in with Google (its own privacy policy applies there). We would disclose information if the law required it.
How long we keep it
- Account details, waitlist answers and demo requests: until you ask us to delete your account.
- Browser sign-ins: until you sign out, or 30 days after last use.
- ALPHA devices: until you sign out in ALPHA or remove the device, or 180 days after last use.
- Sign-in links: unusable after 15 minutes, deleted within a day after that.
- Records used to block repeated sign-in attempts, which include the IP address and email address involved: about a day.
How we protect it
The site is served only over HTTPS. Sign-in links, browser sign-ins, and ALPHA device tokens are stored only in a scrambled (hashed) form, so a copy of our database could not be used to sign in as you. On your computer, ALPHA keeps its sign-in in the system keychain where one is available.
Your choices
Email hello@elephantintelligence.ai from your account’s address to get a copy of what we hold about you, correct it, or delete your account. You can sign out of any browser or remove any ALPHA device yourself at any time.
The ALPHA app
This page covers the website and your account, including signing in from ALPHA. The work ALPHA does on your computer, such as the pages it reads and the AI services it calls with your own API keys, is not sent to us by signing in.
Changes
If we change this page, we’ll update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use information we already have, we’ll tell signed-in users by email first.
